Write the perfect the Resume / CV


Did you know that resumes / CV normally get less than a 15-second at the first screening by the recruiter ?. If you want to make sure you get the right chances by your side, or maybe someone has asked you to review his resume and you want to help him ensure it gets read, you must make sure it follows those affirmations:


Relevance
  • The information you wrote must be relevant to the job requirement
  • Is the content of your CV/ Resume match your career goal?
  • Don't apply for multiple jobs with one CV / Resume, for each job you must read the requirements carefully and make an adapted version, and then apply.

First Look
  • Don't include too much colors, and don't use Yellow or too shiny colours
  • Your CV/ Resume must look original, make sure you write it yourself
  • Make sure to include clear sections and ample white space, between your CV sections
  • Include a title to your CV/ Resume, as your principal qualifications
  • If you are a graduate don't make long CV/Resume, the overall appearance must match the career level 

Visual
  • Use standard font, Arial. or Times New Roman, and an appropriate size
  • Make a good balance between text and white space
  • Margins must be on same side.
  • Don't use multiple font size, and multiple colours, choose one and stick to it.

Resume / CV   Sections
  • State your career goal
  • Include your education with clear achievements
  • Write your job experiences, even if it's volunteering or a non-profit work as long as it's useful for the job
  • In your skills section, don't try to write something that you are not proficient in it.
  • Add an extra section where you state your hobbies and interest.
  • Professional awards and certifications you are proud of, as your personal accomplishement.
